How We Calculate Cake Prices
Each cake is made individually to order, and a lot of different factors go into the pricing of a cake. For example, a cake with handmade sculpted details will cost more than a cake decorated with fresh fruits. As a basic guideline to pricing, we take the following factors into consideration:
- Number of people the cake is for
- Whether the cake is to be fully wrapped in fondant or marzipan
- What type of decorations are desired on the cake
- Whether the cake should be lactose free or vegan, or include any other specialty ingredients that cannot be purchased in a local supermarket
- Delivery distance
If you would like a basic layer cake without any extra additions (just cake sponge, filling, and frosting), you can estimate the cost to be about 30kr per person.
If you want your cake to be decorated in hand sculpted details or have fresh flowers, the cost will be approximately 35kr per person.
If you want you cake fully wrapped in fondant or marzipan, that will be in the neighborhood of 35kr per person., with additional costs for decorations.
Again, these amounts are just a guideline. Each cake will be priced individually based on the customers wishes. There is also the possibility of you having a budget in mind for your cake, so if you come with a price that you would like to spend, then we can design a cake that fits within that price limit for you.
